I am offering my new self-recorded/self-released 30-minute cassette, 3087, FOR TRADE ONLY.
It is NOT for sale.
You send me your tape, & I'll send you mine...
This is a limited edition, so if you're interested, please email me (g at greggskloff dot com) or get @ me on twitter, so I know to reserve one for you.
Once the tapes are all gone -- or perhaps sooner, if I change my mind and/or get impatient -- I will make 3087 available digitally (full stream + name-your-price download) on my bandcamp page.
Q: Is 3087 the title?
A: Yes. I pronounce it "thirty eighty-seven."
Q: Do I have to give you my tape first before you give me yours?
A: Yes. Please contact me before sending me your tape, though.
Q: Does it have to be a tape?
A: I would hope so, but if some other physical format is more suitable, let me know.
Q: Does it have to be my own music?
A: That's the idea. I might allow some exceptions to this, but please check with me about them first.
Q: I make stuff that's not music, can I trade that kind of thing instead?
A: Possibly. Again, email me & let me know what you have in mind first.
Q: Can't I just send you a download link?
A: If you want the tape, you have to give me a tape (or other agreed-upon physical object) in exchange, either by post or in person. I still welcome links/DLs, but not for trade in this case.
Q: Isn't this whole strategy just some self-defeatingly insular, scene-exclusive, materially-privileged tape-hipster vanity project bullshit?
A: Dude, shut up. We're building community here.
Thanks, cheers, and blessings,
-- G.

Truly powerful solo work. I've tried to play this in the background, but every time it draws me into a pure reverie that drowns out my immediate surroundings. Gyakkun
Lovely guitar-based songs with melodies that occasionally hint toward a slack-key, all with a touch of tender melancholy. Bandcamp New & Notable Jan 22, 2023
Discovered as a rec from our Drowned In Sound message board thread and what a find! Brilliantly dense, making so much out of seemingly so few variations. Amazing stuff! bennyhana22
